TASETO Welding Rods

Enhanced grain boundary corrosion resistance by reducing carbon content. It is primarily used for welding of low carbon 18%Cr-12%Ni-2%Mo stainless steel (SUS316L), which is used for important chemical equipment / instruments where corrosion resistance is required.

The various characteristics of welded metals show performance equivalent to or better than the base material as the welding material is for 18Cr-8Ni stainless steel (SUS34).

18Cr-8Ni stainless steel (SUS304) welding bar for general use. The lime titania coating allows for welding in all positions. Excellent weldability where welded metals demonstrate properties equal or greater than the base material.

Special care has been taken to minimize the carbon of welded metal. Welding rod with a low risk of intergranular corrosion, making it indispensable in welding corrosion resistant containers which cannot be subjected to immobilizing heat treatment. The lime titania coating allows for welding in all positions.

Low carbon stainless steel welding bar that is the first of its kind to be manufactured in Japan. Immobilization heat treatment after welding of low carbon 18Cr-12Ni-2Mo stainless steel (SUS316L) plate, casting, etc., for important chemical equipment can be omitted due to the low risk of intergranular corrosion. The lime titania coating allows for welding in all positions.

Used for welding SUS304 and SUS304L. Low carbon boasts excellent grain boundary corrosion resistance when welded, and is used in areas where solid solution heat treatment is not possible.

Used for welding SUS316. Excellent corrosive resistance against non-oxidative acids and salines such as acetic acid, dilute sulfuric acid, etc.

Used for welding SUS316 and SUS316L. Low carbon boasts excellent grain boundary corrosion resistance when welded, and is used in areas where solid solution heat treatment is not possible.

For use when welding dissimilar metals such as stainless steel and carbon steel or low alloy steel, or when welding the first layer of stainless clad steel or stainless steel underlay.
