Clutches, Brakes (Function: Clutch and Brake Unit)
Clutches are components that allow or prevent the transmission of power from a drive shaft to a driven shaft. Brakes are components with which moving machinery parts are slowed, stopped or kept stopped. The available types include non-excitation/excitation electromagnetic clutches/brakes, powder clutches/brakes and hysteresis clutches/brakes. The control method properties are different in each case, so models should be chosen to match the application or operating environment among the wide range available.
