Stepping Motors (Holding torque (classification): Up to 0.3)
A stepper motor is a motor that rotates in steps by a certain angle each time, like the second hand of a clock. A feature of these motors is the ability to perform fine positioning according to application. Available types include a 5-phase stepper motor that moves 0.72° per step and a 2-phase stepper motor that moves 1.8° per step. A stepper motor cannot operate by itself. A controller that outputs command pulse signals for the motor rotational amount and rotational speed, and a driver that controls the rotation of the stepper motor according to the pulse signals are required.
