Measuring Instrument for Research
Measuring instruments for research are equipment used for measuring phenomena that is being researched. Weight, pH density, gas density, and the like can be measured. Scales can be analog or digital type, and the maximum mass that can be measured differs by product, so the product used is selected as needed. Some digital types can connect to a PC or printer. Stainless steel with good resistance to corrosion and abrasion is used for weights, which come in various shapes such as cylindrical or disc-shaped. Pillow-type weights with handles are convenient for carrying, and plate-type weights are weights with low mass. There is a vast variety of pH meters, such as handheld types and pen types, and some products have waterproof structures to enable use outdoors and in environments with much moisture. Detector tubes are used when measuring the density of gasses such as natural gas and oxygen.
